Add headings

The following example shows how to add headings at different levels to a text document.

import com.independentsoft.office.odf.Paragraph;
import com.independentsoft.office.odf.TextDocument;

    {

        {
            TextDocument doc = new TextDocument();

            Heading h1 = new Heading();
            h1.setLevel(1);
            h1.add("Chapter 1: Introduction");
            doc.getBody().add(h1);

            Paragraph p1 = new Paragraph();
            p1.add("This is the introduction paragraph.");
            doc.getBody().add(p1);

            Heading h2 = new Heading();
            h2.setLevel(2);
            h2.add("Section 1.1: Overview");
            doc.getBody().add(h2);

            Paragraph p2 = new Paragraph();
            p2.add("This is a section paragraph.");
            doc.getBody().add(p2);

            Heading h3 = new Heading();
            h3.setLevel(3);
            h3.add("Subsection 1.1.1: Details");
